Quests: Dark Brotherhood Quest: Destroy the Dark Brotherhood!
Info: Astrid leads the Falkreath branch of the Dark Brotherhood. She believes in a new breed of assassin and has rejected the Five Tenets. Her only rule is loyalty, above all. She is married to Arnbjorn, a werewolf and carries the Blade of Woe (which has a health drain enchant). Astrid asks the Dragonborn to kill Cicero (and later, herself). She is voiced by Cindy Robinson (Amy Rose from Sonic the Hedgehog), can be reanimated used Dead Thrall, and is marked an essential character except during specific quests.

Tolfdir

Class: Spell Vendor, Skill Trainer
Race: Elder
Morality: Will report seen crimes.

Location: The Hall of the Elements (The College of Winterhold), The Hall of Attainment (The College of Winterhold)

Quests: College of Winterhold Quests: The Eye of Magnus, Under Saarthal, First Lessons, The Staff of Magnus, Aftershock, Finding Tolfdir’s Alembic, Alteration Ritual Spell
Info: Tolfdir is a master of Alteration-level magic and will offer skill training. Upon near-completion of the College of Winterhold quest line, Tolfdir becomes Master Wizard.

People of Skyrim: Balgruuf the Greater


Balgruuf the Greater
Class: Jarl, Citizen
Race: Nord
Morality: Will report seen crimes.
Skills: None
Location: Dragon’s Reach (Whiterun), Blue Palace (Solitude)
Quests Given: Main Quests: Dragon Rising, The Way of the Voice, The World-Eater’s Eyrie, Civil War Quests: Message to Whiterun, Battle for Whiterun, Daedric Quest: The Whispering Door.
Info: He is the default (Imperial) Jarl of Whiterun. According to his son, he hates the Thalmor and worships Talos, but you wouldn’t know otherwise because his dialogue mainly concerns the people of Whiterun, and the attacking dragons. He disagrees with the Stormcloak rebellion. Jarl Balgruuf bears striking similarities to King Theoden from Lord of the Rings.

People of Skyrim: Lydia


Lydia
Class: Follower, Warrior, Blade, Marriage prospect
Race: Nord
Morality: Will not trespass, but will steal items
Skills: One Handed, Heavy Armor, Block
Location: Dragon’s Reach (Whiterun), Breezehome (Whiterun)
Quest Given: None
Info: Is the Housecarl appointed in Whiterun. Will live in Breezehome or Dragonsreach. Her level cap is 50. She had unlimited arrows when given only one and can be married. When she dies, the dragonborn receives her inheritance (100 Gold) by courier. You gain access to Lydia after Main Quest: Dragon Rising.

People of Skyrim: Haelga


Haelga
Class: Citizen
Race: Nord
Morality: Will report seen crimes
Skills: None
Location: Haelga’s Bunkhouse (Riften), The Bee and the Barb (Riften), Bolli’s bedroom (Riften)
Quest Given: None
Info: Lives with her niece in Riften. In her bedroom is an odd collection involving hand cuffs, stamina potions, horker tusks, honey (one of two jars in Skyrim), leather strips, a shrine to dibella, and books about a Lusty Argonian Maid. Some nights, Haelga can be found in Bolli’s bed, rather than her own.  She was also known to have relations with Hofgrir Horse-Crusher and Indaryn.

People of Skyrim: J'Zargo


J’Zargo
Class: Sorcerer, Blade, Follower
Race: Khajit
Morality: Will not trespass, but will steal items. Will not attack the innocent.
Skills: Destruction, Restoration, Illusion, Heavy Armor, One Handed
Location:  College of Winterhold, Sky Haven Temple
Quest Given: J’Zargo’s Experiment
Info: His level cap is uniquely at level 81. Even though he equips one-handed weapons, he is known to use spells until he runs out of magicka. He may have a weakness for frost spells or magicka, and he has high health. His health regenerates relatively quickly. To gain him as a follower, do his quest: J’Zargo’s Experiment

People of Skyrim: Kharjo


Class: Follower, Blade, Warrior
Race: Khajit
Morality: Will do anything except attack and murder townsfolk.
Skills: One-Handed, Heavy Armor, Sneak, Block, Archery.
Location: Travels between Dawnstar, Windhelm and Riften, sometimes passing through the Labyrinth, can be a Blade (Sky Haven Temple).  Appears at a city maybe once a week.
Info: Kharjo is a follower whose service is gained by doing a quest to find a Moon Amulet in a random bandit camp. He is an ideal Blade, because after becoming a Blade, he will stay in place, rather than travel with the Khajit Caravan, where he is employed as a bodyguard to Ahkari and Zaynabi.
